When the YoloTD’s original microtransit service reached its five-year mark, it still lacked a cohesive brand identity. As the District prepared to relaunch the service, they needed a brand that not only connected with the Yolo County community, but also felt inviting, playful, and refreshingly different from traditional public transit stereotypes.
Working alongside community leaders, local residents, and two talented interns, I helped shape and introduce BeeLine, a friendly, accessible microtransit rideshare designed to get riders from point A to point bee. The brand also pays homage to Yolo County’s rich agricultural roots and the essential role bees play in sustaining the region’s farms and feeding communities far beyond California.
In addition to developing the full brand identity, I created complete vehicle wrap designs, built marketing campaigns to support the launch, crafted merchandise to extend the brand’s presence, and designed a dedicated website that stands apart from the rest of the Yolobus ecosystem.
